Today I went Target with The Boy and My Nieces to buy items for The Big C. I bought two scarfs.
I then bought my own barf bucket and liners. The “bucket” happens to be a large version on a red solo cup. The liners are just trash bags. I thought is would be easier for My Man. The Boy loves theĀ “bucket”. He likes to wear it on his head.
We then met My Man and my friend Rebecca for dinner. She came back to our place and we looked up videos on how to tie scarves. Here are a few of my favorites.
I think I need a few more scarves, I have three so far. I will also have to practice on tying them or Rebecca will need to come over at 8am every morning to help me! I forgot to buy a thermometer…that is next item to get.
you rock the scarf look…and I love the barf bucket… and…as my boss said to me when I started whipping off the ball caps at work
” Just wear big earrings and lots of makeup” Let me know when you are ready for the “bald stories”…
Beautiful you are beautiful. Like the idea of the barf bucket, can you wear the scarf we brought back from France? I know that the grands enjoyed helping you pick out the scarves. Getting ready to kick but.
In two of the pictures I am wearing that scarf.
I took that balls to the walls chemo for a year. In my situation, I didn’t barf or start losing my hair until the 3rd or 4th treatment. It took awhile to build up in my system. Maybe you’ll be ok for the first round. Good luck Shay.
You are beautiful!!
This thing has nothing on you! You’re tougher. You’ve proven it already!
BTW – Babies are bald and just too cute. If you loose the hair you will be just as cute (& could easily rock the Sinead O’ Conner look!) Scarf/no scarf you’ll be gorgeous!
Shay, you are one tough chick. (Don’t tell the chickens.) You will come through this episode as strong and optimistic as you have done for all the previous ones. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Debbie and Brian Wiatrak
Thank You!
I am a cousin to your mother in law. You rock the scarf look! I am a survivor as well and wish you the best in strength, endurance, recovery. Attitude is a major part and you must maintain a “git-er-done” attitude! Prayers are flying already for you. Stay strong
Thank you Mary Lou!
Will be on a scarf mission, my friend!
