Sunny Day in the ATL

Good Day Reader’s!

The sun (and pollen-Boo) are out in the ATL today. Yesterday The Boy and I went out and ran some errands. We stopped at Target and I spoke to the pharmacist there. I explained about the issues I am having with my sinus’. The headaches have not gone away for the past week. She gave me something to take and so far, it has eased the pain a bit. I am feeling so much better.

We also stopped at Home Depot and bought some herbs and tomato plants. Once again, as I have done the past few summers, I have high hopes for my garden. Last year’s was a bit of a bust since I was undergoing chemo. I planted ten tomato plants in the garden and three different kinds of basil (sweet, Thai & pepper) in a planting container.

I have decided to buy some cucumber trellis’. I ordered two from Gardner’s Supply Company. I am hoping that the cucumbers and squash will do better than in the past if they are up off the ground.

I am hoping to get word soon that our two new hens are ready to pick up. I am planning on putting the old coop and run into the The Majestic to keep them separate but close so they can get to know each other. I have moved the run into the The Majestic and it is a tight fit but they will be fine.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Be good and stay safe!

  1. Yay!! Love the garden! We have pickling cukes, zucchini, eggplant, jalapeños, grape tomato, golden grapes, heirloom black cherrys, Roma and 5 other large variety tomatoes. I am giving an herb garden a go too, so keeping fingers crossed. Can’t wait to come over and see yours;)

  2. Gardening may not happen in Mountain Brook for some reason we are not getting into the swing. I hope the chickens get use to each other fast because it is easier to feed them in the Majestic then the little coop. Have a great Sunday and hope your head ache goes away, Dad is sneezing, coughing, and nose blowing.
    Love you lots,lots,lots Momee

  3. Was having a moment of poop until I read your post. Finally sunny and warm in the tri-state area – those weeks of below 30º were starting to drive everyone mad. But I’m working instead of being outdoors. But the faster I work, the sooner I’ll be able to play with my herb garden – yay! Glad you’re feeling better!
