Or in Panny’s case, Good Night!
I love to take pictures of Panny sleeping. Have a great morning everyone!

So since it was so nice out on Monday and the boy was out for Spring Break, My Man and I decided to go down to one of our favorite mexican places for dinner. This was a perfect place for me to go since it was Meatless Monday. They have a lot of veggie and fish options to choose from.
We started out with chips and guacamole. We thought this would be a “healthier” choice then the queso dip (which is also very yummy). I ate to many chips. I was so hungry by the time we got there (stuck in ATL traffic) I just couldn’t stop eating them. Plus the guacamole is really good…and healthy!
For dinner I ordered the Abichuelas Sopes and the Poco Chihuahua Enchiladas. I had never had the enchilada before and it was very good. I will get it again. Two items to also check out is the Ceviche and Betabel Salad.
The vibe at Bone Garden is very funky. If you do not like skulls or tattoos, this place is not for you. If you want “real” mexican food, a fun vibe and great service, go check it out. Tell them My Hotel Yorba sent you!

PS.- They are not open on Sunday!
The sun is out and it is nice and warm. It is about time! I had my shake for breakfast and since it is meatless Monday I had a salad for lunch. My salad included: a mix of spinach, arugula, goat cheese, edamame broccoli and quinoa. I also had some grapes.
After a meeting with a client, I ran to Target. I needed to get a new cover for my iPhone. Somehow I lost mine. I have no idea where it is. No doubt I will find it in a week or so. Oh well. I also got a new sports armband. The one I have sucks! I can’t see through the plastic cover and I have to take the dam thing out of the cover to make it work. What is the point of that! So I got a new one from New Balance. I will let you know how it works out.
Between The Boy and me, we have lost/misplaced so many ear buds. I can never find them when I need a pair, like today. So I bought two pair of cheap ones. They cost $3.00. Aren’t they cute?! A duck! A deer!
On the way to work I realized I forgot to pack some workout socks. Oh, did I mention I was planning on going on a bike ride? Sorry about that. So since I was at Target, I got a pair of socks to wear. They were only a $1.50, so I got two pairs.
While at work, I went to the bathroom (it happens) and noticed that I was wearing two different pair of shoes. What? How did that happen? No, I did not dress in the dark. Where was my head this morning? At least they are both black… And yes, I am wearing pants. I didn’t forget those.
After I got back from my Target run, I had some Trader Joes Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt with Almonds. It is my favorite kind.
Good Morning! Here at Hotel Yorba we got to sleep in an extra 30 minutes since it is Spring Break for The Boy. Once I get him and My Man off to camp/work, I am going to do Rodney Yee’s AM Yoga for your week. Today I will work on Twists. My neck has been hurting for the last two days and I am hoping this will help.
I first started yoga at home using DVD’s. My first one was Gaiam’s 15-minute Results Yoga with Rodney Yee and Mariel Hemingway. I remember that I was totally pooped by the end of one workout…it was only 15 minutes!! I now take classes at the gym and some are as long as 90 minutes! I have come a long way! The thing with doing yoga at home is that I am never alone. I have two yoga buddies who LOVE to get all in my business while I do my practice.
Simon is the black and white one. He is the one who crawls all over me during my workout squeaking for me to pet and love on him. Yes, he is a cat but he squeaks, he does not meow. I ask him if he is part mouse and he shows me is brown eye… Not fresh Simon, not fresh.
I also made protein smoothies for My Man and I to drink today. Time to get cleaned up and head to work. Hope everyone has a great morning!
Website homework Figure out how to set up “links” to other websites. If anyone know how to on WordPress let me know. I know it is probably pretty simple!
Today I listened to two cd’s while I was working on My Hotel Yorba. Check them out!
The only thing that would have made them better was if I was drinking a nice glass of wine while I worked!

We have eaten at Local Three a few times now. Since my parents were in town for the Easter weekend we thought we would take them their to check it out. Like us, they love a good meal. I love the vibe. The food is really good and inventive. This is the type of place where being a waiter isn’t just a job but a career. You could tell that our waiter , Ken, not only loved working there but he was also very passionate about the food. He knew where they got the mushrooms from, where they grew the lettuce (in a warehouse in downtown ATL) and the farms where they got their berries from. Plus, they play good music and have paintings of “The Dude” and pigs all over the place. I told my parents they did not need to dress up too much. The waiters all wear jeans and have tattoos. Of course my Dad said “Our waiter doesn’t have any tattoos!” Ken preceded to lift his sleeve up and show off some of his tats! HA!
First came the Snacks. The thing to know about Local Three’s menu is that if something is in quotes, you better ask for a description of the item. Justin and I started out with the Royal with Cheese. The first time we came here and ordered it we thought we would be getting a mini hamburger. Yeah, no. The Angus Beef is served Tartar and it is topped with an egg on top! So Yummy!
Check out the bar. Ken told us that the bar (which is pretty long) and three of the six top tables were made out of a large tree that had fallen across the road durning a storm here in ATL. If you are a bourbon lover, this is the place for you. They have pages and pages of bourbons on their drink list.
All the salt and pepper shakers are different. You can tell someone went to a lot of yard sales to get them. The Boy liked theses two. Only problem with them is that he likes to play with them and that is kinda gross.
For my appetizer I got the Lump Crab “Salad”. There are those quotes again! The lump crab was toped with honey mustard ice cream. Yes, ice cream! It was so Yummy!! Unlike the Snack, I did not have to share with My Man. He did get a taste and really loved it.
I love wine. Really, Really love it. My dad picked out CrossBarn by Paul Hobbs. It is a Pinot Noir and was very good. Pinot’s are my favorite. My parents are going to Nappa Vally and Sonoma in a few weeks and added this winery on their tour.
Ok, Shay, the place looks and sounds great but can I bring my kids there? Yes. The Boy is almost 8 and this is his third visit to Local Three. Whenever we go out to the dinner with him we tend to get to the restaurant around 5:30. We where there last night for about an hour and half and by the time we left, both tables next to us had kids with them. However, if you were looking for a date night place, it works too. My Man and I have eaten there around 7:30-8pm and it was great vibe too.
If you are someone who loves good food, check it out!! Tell them My Hotel Yorba sent you!
Here I am on Easter working on getting my first “real” blog set up. I woke up last night a 3am and sat in bed for 2 hours trying to figure out why I was having such a problem setting this dam thing up! When that (and My Man’s snoring) almost drove me to the edge, I thought of what I wanted to share to the world on my blog…you now the fun stuff! So, as I fumble my way through setting this up, here are a few things I am planning to include:
There will also be the day to day updates on what the heck is going on down here in the ATL. I am going to start out by letting a few friends and family know about My Hotel Yorba, but please share it with your friends and family. Once everything is up and running smoothly, I am planning on updating one to two times a day. Any suggestions you may have are welcomed!!
For all those who celebrate Easter, Happy Easter! For those of you who do not, Happy Sunday! And for those whose kids are on Spring Break this week like The Boy is, Happy Spring Break!!
