Happy Wednesday Reader’s!

Only two more days till Friday and a three-day weekend! Woot! Woot! Are you doing anything special for Memorial Day? Our very good friends/The Boy’s God Parents are doing down in Friday and will be staying the weekend with us. The Boy’s big day is on Saturday and we are having people over to Hotel Yorba for swimming and grilling. It should be a lot of fun with good weather (fingers crossed) and good food.

O Tuesday we hung lights in the screened in porch. I have been wanting to do it for years and finally decided to just buy the damn things. It got a bit crazy but we got them up and I love them! Makes the porch come alive! My Man did most of the work and he did a good job.

We are heading down to the Braves games in a bit. It should be a good game, they have won the last two games in the series. Let’s go number three!! Go Braves!

Be Good Y’all!

Happy Tuesday Reader’s!

Looks like it will be another nice day in the ATL. Which is nice, since Sunday was dark and rainy. I kept busy though. Spent sometimes with the girls, Zazzles and Terrance Peterson are growing up nicely. They are also getting along pretty well with Turbo and Poppy. The two older ones still squawk at they young ones but not as much as before.

Sunday I spent a few hours getting ready for this week. I got an idea from one of the ladies (Adrienne!) this weekend in Austin. She makes a big batch of soup on Sunday’s and ate it for lunch during the week. In mine I have onions, carrots, celery, kale, bok choy, a whole chicken and potatoes. I had some yesterday for lunch and it was really good.

I also chopped up fruits and veggies for my daily juicing. Carrots, kale, spinach, apples, cucumbers, celery and lemon. It makes juicing each morning much easier. I took up both crisper drawers in the refrigerator!

My gal Judi gave me these super cute earrings for my birthday while I was in Austin. Aren’t they cute? I like to think of them as baby chickens.

On Saturday it is The Boy’s birthday! He will be 9 years old. I can’t believe how fast time has gone by. School ends on Friday and I think I am going to bring donuts at lunch time for his class. He asked for them. I am solo happy school is out soon. It will be nice to sleep in for an extra hour and no homework!

Happy Friday Reader’s!

How are we this Friday? I am doing well. After the boys got off to work and school, I got ready and went to the gym to work out with SK. I signed up for a 10,000 steps per day challenge that Lifetime Fitness and Fitbit are doing. It started on Sunday and so far I have been able to achieve my 10,000 steps per day. The challenge is for 30 days. I sure hope I can make it!

The Girls are almost here!

Reader’s, tomorrow we will be driving up to Glass Pound Farm to pick up our two new hens! I am so excited! I really hope that they are sweet and get along with Turbo and Poppy. Fingers are crossed! Here is a reminder of the type of hens we are getting.

Lens Cup

Yesterday I got a box in the mail from Amazon. I didn’t remember ordering anything so I was a bit stumped. Inside was a lens cup and that was all. No receipt. No card. I did not order the cup. My Man did not order it. I have NO idea who ordered it. But I really like it!! So whoever gave it to me, thank you! And please let me know who you are.

Sometimes I Forget…

This morning I was in Target (looking so fresh in my workout clothes…NOT) buying Easter candy and treats for the two baskets I am making. A young man who worked there asked me if my foot was ok. I guess I was limping more than usual. I was like no, not really getting it. He said it looked like I hurt it and then I remembered! I told him not to worry, it wasn’t real (he took that like a pro). Yeah, I forgot for a second. I know, how can you forget something like not having a real left foot!  Pickles!

Can't stop eating them!

Uncle Roone- My uncle started his first chemo treatment this weekend up in Indianapolis, In. So far he said he had not gotten sick yet and I sure hope he doesn’t. Fingers are crossed!

Pinterest, finally on it!

Happy Sunday Readers. How has your weekend been? Mine has been good so far. It rained in the ATL on Saturday but that is ok. The new landscaping her at Hotel Yorba needs the rain. Great news! For the last three nights The Girls have strutted their little chicken butts up the plank and into the coop all on their own! I am one proud mama!

Shout Out!

Last Saturday our friends, Calanit and Alan, held their wedding reception (they got married in Israel in June) here in Atlanta. SInce I had just gotten out of the hospital a few days earlier, so we were not able to go. I just found out that in lieu of party favors, they donated money to the Sarcroma Foundation of America in my honor!?!!! How cool is that!?! Thank you guys!

Happy Monday Reader’s!

I hope you are all having a good day. The sun is out here in the ATL and it is a beautiful day. I love Fall, it is my favorite season. I love the smell in the air, the leaves falling, wearing hoodies and light jackets, pumpkins and drinking hot tea wine on a chilly night, on the screened in porch. Oh and football! Love me football on the weekend…as long as my team is winning. I went 1:1 this weekend. RTR!!! Falcons= Fail. :|

The landscape crew is working on finishing the back steps and started laying the pavers for the new pathway from the pool to the pool equipment. No more gross, splotchy, pee  (Timber) stained crab grass. They will be putting gravel between the large pavers.

I met the “chicken man”, Matt, today. He, Molly and I reviewed the plans for the coop and I showed him all the wood and tiles we had in the second garage. I think he will be able to use a lot of it plus some of the wood from the play set. He thinks he will be done by the end of the week. That would be perfect. I want to be able to move the girls into their new home and get them settled before I go back into the hospital. I am so excited!

The sun is out today and I will be doing some cleaning in the garages. We have a huge dumpster at he end of the driveway and we plan to use it! Here are some pictures from the weekend.
